The Inlet Community Garden is intended to provide space, tools, education and the opportunity for families in the area to realize that we can make our region into a food providing region in a food desert. We produce local goods, educate on how these are produced, and inspire other to take what they learned home with them. We intend to make local gardening and food production an activity that everyone is a part of.
We intend to create a space that is welcoming and inviting both inside and outside of the Inlet Community School, that can inspire others in our community to learn. Our intention is to create a community that is self-sustaining, healthy, nutritious, empowered, learned and communal in knowledge gathering and sharing.
