Inlet and the surrounding towns of our region are at an inflection point. That inflection point revolves around limited housing stock, decreased overall access to housing, and increased cost of existing housing. All of these factors increasingly make it more difficult for young people and families to stay here, relocate here, or return here after leaving. The Housing Committee is committed to supporting housing efforts that are attractive to a healthy and robust year-round population. We recognize that we must not just make sure that our current residents are healthy/happy/safe, but that we are preparing our community and region for generations to come. Our community needs to be both attractive, and accessible to the next generation of Adirondackers, and through housing efforts we hope to achieve these ends.
